Dr. Christine Kirunga Tashobya is a Health Systems Specialist with expertise in several aspects of health systems including Health Policy Formulation and Analysis; Strategic Planning; Health Financing, Public Private Partnerships for Health, and Monitoring and evaluation. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Supporting Policy Engagement for Evidence Based Decision Making for Universal Health Coverage (SPEED) Project at MakSPH.
She is a medical Doctor with an MA (Demography), a MSc. Health Policy, Planning and Financing (LSHTM) and a PhD Public Health from Antwerp, Belgium. Before her PhD, she had been a senior Planner in Ministry of Health for over 10 years.
Christine is a member of Working Groups 1&2 of the International Taskforce on Innovative International Financing for Health Systems that was put in place by world leaders at the UN High Level Event 2008.
