This two-year flagship programme at the School of Public Health is coordinated by the Department of Health Policy Planning and Management. Run under a semester system, the programme has sixteen core courses and nine electives to select from.
These are compulsory courses that each trainee enrolled onto the MPH programme must take. They are:

viii) SPH 7201 Environmental and Occupational Health (3 CU)

x) MPH 7237 Public Health Ethics and Law (3CU)
xi) MPH 8201 Applied Epidemiology II (3CU)
xii) MPH 8202 Applied Biostatistics II (3CU)

All these core courses shall be offered during the 2-year duration of the programme
On top of the core courses the trainee will be required to choose two electives to fulfil the credit unit requirement. Trainees may take any two courses of their choice from those listed. A total of at least 6 CUs must be accumulated through such elective courses. The choice of the elective course(s) may be from any of the disciplines as offered under the MakSPH departments, namely:
